After graduation from the College of Nursing in 1971, Wright worked for a year-and-a-half, and then took a 16-year break to raise her eleven children – the youngest one now in pre-nursing classes at BYU. She returned to nursing after taking a RN refresher course and has worked at Cottonwood Hospital, Alta View Hospital and the University of Utah. She and her husband decided to join forces to build and run an assisted living center in Sandy, Utah. Her husband, a contractor, built the facility and she still currently runs CountryCare Homes, LLC. Most of their eleven children have worked at the assisted living center and have all gained an ability to interact with the elderly while experiencing the joys of service.

CON Alumni Nancy Pulsipher started her BYU education in 1966 as a pre-med student. She then changed her major to French and minor to Spanish. After completing most of the requirements for this major, she became puzzled on what to do for a career. She took two years from school to think about her future, coming back with the intent of becoming a nurse. She knew this is what she wanted to do after working briefly as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility.
