Envisioning BYU Scholarship Contest

On Tuesday, October 31, John and Susan Tanner presented an outstanding devotional at BYU. The College of Nursing recognizes their thoughtful words and remarkable insights regarding the dream of BYU.

At the conclusion of their devotional, they extended a challenge, “I wish that every student and all others who walk this campus would keep in the words ‘Christ Himself has a care over this school’ running through their minds.” They hoped this thought would prompt us to ask ourselves, “What is my role and responsibility in helping this school reach its destiny, and what can I do to live up to the privilege of being here? How can I help fulfill the dream of BYU?”

In light of John and Susan Tanner’s inspiring devotional, the College of Nursing has decided to offer a scholarship essay competition for all students in the nursing programs. The awards are as follows:

  • 1st Place Winner: $500 Scholarship
  • 2nd Place Winner: $300 Scholarship
  • 3rd Place Winner: $200 Scholarship

The awarded responses will be shared with the college and potentially the campus.
